[NL] Brussel: Nederland moet totomarkt vrijgeven

Kwam weer iets interessants tegen op Internet:

BRUSSEL – De Europese Commissie heeft Nederland donderdag formeel verzocht de markt voor sportprijsvragen vrij te geven voor andere aanbieders dan alleen De Lotto (Toto). Het huidige monopolie is in strijd met het vrije verkeer van kansspeldiensten, oordeelt Brussel.

 

…Het Europees Hof heeft eerder gesteld dat marktbeperking alleen is toegestaan als dat de bestrijding van gokverslaving, illegaliteit en criminaliteit overtuigend ten goede komt. Volgens de Commissie is duidelijk aangetoond dat Nederland geen samenhangend beleid voert.
