Ik reis tegenwoordig steeds meer door Nederland, dat bevalt opzich goed, maar kan helaas nog niet overal tegelijk zijn Remote desktop blijkt dus nogsteeds extreem handig te zijn voor toegang te krijgen tot mijn werkstations, dan wel incidentieel gebruikersondersteuning te leveren. Met het eerder aangehaalde UltraVNC t.o.v. ‘Windows Remote Desktop’ is e.a.a. makkelijker te realiseren, maar zeker ook niet eenvoudig. Een maat van me kwam gister aanzetten met een fantastisch al dan niet beter alternatief met ondersteuning voor Apple, PC en zelfs Windows mobile devices: LogMeIn.com
De gratis versie kan alles wat ik verlang van eenvoudige remote desktop applicatie. Client installeren, en je kan vervolgens via FireFox (met additionele plugin welke automagisch geinstalleerd wordt) de PC op afstand overnemen.
