Dutch to English translation of a previous posted NL blogpost on making screencaptures, and extension of the list with other programs!
The most basic method of making a screencapture in Windows is by using the “Prt scr” button on your keyboard. You can also combine it with pressing CTRL and ALT keys to get a sub area. The screenshot is then placed in the Windows buffer which you can retrieve in for example Paint of Word by using the paste feature (CTRL-V). What if you want to capture only a certain area? Bad luck, you can’t do that without editting the captures, which is a very tiresome approach. You can do it far more efficient with:

- Faststone Capture (shareware, $19.95)
- Lightscreen (freeware, also available as part of the portableapps.com suite)
