‘China phones’, are cheap, have many features, but also many complaints in operation (due to lack of support of manufacturer). Knowing for what purposes I use a phone, a friend of mine advised me to have a look at the Samsung SGH-D880. For sale a little below €200. It’s actually the only A-brand duo sim phone in Europe, with literally 100’s of excellent user experiences online.
Not the most ‘wow’ feature set, compared to HTC for example, but compared to my current Nokia 6230i it has a 3.2Mpixel instead of 1.3Mpixel camera! And with the embedded MicroSD slot I’m sure I can cope for a while with recording data. Most important of all … I only have to carry around 1 phone.
update 8jan09: other dual sim Samsung phones are the cheaper SGH-D780 and more expensive SGH-D980. The latter is twice as expensive as the SGH-D880 and only new addition would be a touchscreen. So … I made up my mind and ordered the SGH-D880 + car-adapter!
