For the past 6 months I’ve been the proud owner of a Nokia E63 Smartphone + a separetely bought 8GB external mini SDHC. Paired with Three.co.uk prepaid I was able to send 300 free text messages, free Facebook/Twitter/Skype and still have 150MB for internet traffic! Due to extensive usage, I ran into some annoyances / shortcomings that I like to write about:
- Being able to use SkypeOUT, however no dialpad for entering conference calls
- No SkypeIN support, not for built-in Skype client, nor Fring
- Gmail client doesn’t support labels
Additional advantages of the Apple devices over Nokia E63:
- ‘Accelerometer’ to tilt to wide screen
- Better battery life
- Faster charging times
- Touchscreen!
- Massive Apps support through iTunes (over 50,000 already)
- Native Skype-in support
- Copy/paste of texts
- Quicktime compatibility
And last but not least … as I’m switching to Apple hardware only, my phone should be Apple as well! Haven’t decided exactly on which Apple model though!
