Nokia E63 vs. Apple iPhone

For the past 6 months I’ve been the proud owner of a Nokia E63 Smartphone +  a separetely bought 8GB external mini SDHC. Paired with Three.co.uk prepaid I was able to send 300 free text messages, free Facebook/Twitter/Skype and still have 150MB for internet traffic! Due to extensive usage, I ran into some annoyances / shortcomings that I like to write about:

    • Being able to use SkypeOUT, however no dialpad for entering conference calls

  • No SkypeIN support, not for built-in Skype client, nor Fring

  • Gmail client doesn’t support labels

Additional advantages of the Apple devices over Nokia E63:

    • ‘Accelerometer’ to tilt to wide screen

  • Better battery life

  • Faster charging times

  • Touchscreen!

  • Massive Apps support through iTunes (over 50,000 already)

  • Native Skype-in support

  • Copy/paste of texts

  • Quicktime compatibility

And last but not least … as I’m switching to Apple hardware only, my phone should be Apple as well! Haven’t decided exactly on which Apple model though!
