I already offer FREE WiFi services to all my customers that come to visit (or are near our accesspoint), but decided to carry things to a new level by getting a “La Fonera”. And wow … this is probably one of the toughest things I EVER configured.
Things you (globally) need to do to get it working:
- reset it to factory defaults = CHALLENGING: http://wiki.fon.com/wiki/Restore_Factory_Settings
- contact Fonera support to be able reregister your Fon device (and become either a Linus or Bill)
- Follow this guide: http://wiki.fon.com/wiki/Fonera_SIMPL_Get_Started .. bare in mind that on a Fonera the WPA access key is the S/N of the device.
Doesn’t sound very difficult. Yet it took me 9+ hours to figure it all out, especially the reset procedure and getting into the registration process.
