There’s a lot to be said about, increasing the speed of your computer.

Software Tools

There are a lot of great software tools to make your computer run faster, but do they deliver upon their promises? Cause a lot of them don’t. Yet a lot of ComputerNErdInside.com customers buy them anyway, and in most cases it’s BIG waste of money … but also system resources.

Hardware upgrade

The minimum hardware requirements for blogging (IMHO) are … well actually pretty similar to my own setup:

at least an Intel Core2Duo (or similar) with at least 1000+ CPUbenchmark points

So if you have a Pentium 4 or slower? Or a Netbook with Atom N270? You won’t get above the 500+ points. It will work … but only if you have …

at least 2GB of memory (RAM) … or you will run into this problem

when you run either Linux or Windows XP. Vista and Windows 7 (or maybe even or a low system spec? Phew! Bad idea!

What else?

Well Empower Network needs you to have a monitor with at least 1024×768 (so that means any iPad / tablet) will qualify as well. Lower? Ehm that’s stone-age

And you still haven’t seen me mention a harddrive … well that’s cause it really doesn’t matter what you get, although I prefer a Solid State Disk, or no disk at all

Low on budget?

A lot of us are drawn to Empower Network because of 100% commission. So our bank balance might not always be on par with our ambitions (yet). No need to buy a new computer, you can just go to your local reseller or craigslist (or the national equivalent of it), and buy a refurbished Dell Optiplex. Costs are like $100-$150 (incl. a monitor) and should get you going. Cause remember ? These three guys started with horrible systems as well.
