Mac Productivity Tools Under Consideration – November 2011

I caught myself adding upon “My Mac Apps – November 2011” with Apps that haven’t been properly ‘tried & tested’ over a longer period of time. The (unsorted) list of Apps currently ‘under consideration’ are …
  • EverNote
  • Pester | simple clock and timer; looked promising, but a browser extensions can do same thing
  • iProcrastinate
  • Firetask
  • Remote Desktop Plus | control your Apple devices from anywhere through WiFi | Free
  • Espresso – WYSIWYG web eidtor
  • Paparazzi!
  • OmniFocus | internet browser … didn’t like it that much
  • WinZip Mac Edition
  • QuickSilver | application launcher
  • BeeDocs Easy TimeLine | you can do some very historic video creation |  €15.99
  • Hazel
  • Hype | HTML5 animation creator
  • LaunchBar
  • LittleSnapper
  • Typinator | ‘typing’ frequently used text for you
  • iKey
  • 1PassWord | password vault
  • BusyCal
  • Toast Titanium
  • PDFpen | edit your PDFs like you would normally would
  • Sparrow | Minimalistic email client (with support for gmail)
  • MacSpeech Dictate
  • Karelia SandVox | WYSIWYG web editor, nice replacement for iWeb | €62.99

Already qualified are:

  • Google Quick Search Box | replacement of spotify with all online content as well
  • Google Notifier
  • FireFox + Extensions | my new webdevelopment browser

No longer on the list (changes to last month):

  • Apple iWeb; can make you some nice websites, but it’s no on par with all the latest and greatest jQuery techniques. It’s taking up idle HD space; 420MB to be exact.
  • Sunrise; lightweight Internet browser … it’s a great browser, until you open up more tabs than the screen can handle; no next or previous arrows== FAIL! And it’s also annoying that new tabs are immediately opened (instead of staying at the parent tab) == FAIL2!
