De afgelopen 3 jaar heb ik gebruik gemaakt van de gratis virusscanner AVG van GriSoft. Recentelijk ben ik echter steeds minder tevreden over vooral de hoofdcomponent van het pakket: de virusscanner. Steeds vaker sijpelen er virussen de computer binnen, met als logisch gevolg: infecties. Weliswaar gebruik ik tegenwoordig ook MBAM, edoch gebruik je een virusscanner (+ guard) toch ook om infectie te voorkomen!?
Na overleg met enkele computernerds en gebruik van AV-comparatives.org heb ik besloten om per direct over te stappen op een ander gratis pakket, genaamd Avira AntiVir. Nadelen (t.o.v. AVG): geen outlook e-mail scanner, en online safe browsing. Voordelen (t.o.v. AVG): snellere, betere & nauwkeurigere virusscanner, met uitgebreide virusgevolgen database.
