Was vanavond bij een goede vriendin op bezoek. Tijdens de wijn vertelde ze pardoes dat ze de laatste dagen met een vervelend printerprobleem geconfronteerd werd. Tenminste zo leek het eerst. Nader onderzoek wees echter uit dat het geheugen en processor gebruik de pan uit rees (waardoor het printen van grote bestanden inderdaad ook slecht mogelijk was). Probleem is verholpen dankzij de toepassen van de updates genoemd in deze forum post op Gathering of Tweakers.
Met dank aan de freeware tool PC-Wizard 2008 tevens kunnen bepalen (zonder open maken van de kast) dat er maar 256MB geheugen in de PC zat en er nog 1 geheugenbank vrij was voor 256-1024MB DDR1 PC-3200 geheugen. Dit type geheugen is op dit moment niet zo duur in aanschaf: €14 per 512MB, en €25 per 1024MB (bron: Tweakers.net Pricewatch). En weer een blije ‘klant’.
