Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks Developer Preview 2 Update & Changes

Still have to blog about that I actually installed Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks Developer Preview 1 at my Dell Latitude D630 (now a Hackintosh) But haven’t had proper time yet to write a quality ‘nerdy’ article. In a nutshell? Faster and more stable than Windows 8 final product! And it just got even better!

Received a notification to restart my system due to an update:

Developer Preview 1 has build number 13A476u

Developer Preview 2 has build number 13A497d

Changes

– Moving around and using the OS seems much snappier and more stable

– Minor UI tweaks in Safari

– Tweaks to share/Message buttons in Notification Center

– iCloud Keychain setup prompt

– Migration Assistant now functional

– Improved performance for select files viewed in Preview

First have to save all my opened work, but gonna update within the hour!

My Updates

I did have to connect an external USB keyboard during the upgrade. It didn’t recognise my laptop keyboard and it wouldn’t go further without it. No need to run MyHack after (no changes to bootloader)

But it is indeed MUCH snappier AND definitely faster too! Mavericks rulez!

P.S. still same ‘bug’ in browsers (not being able to close ‘full screen’ mode). Not a biggy
