Samsung NC10 netbook

I was reserving funds for a MSI Wind Love Edition netbook, but just read the Samsung NC10 is widely available in the Netherlands.

Advantages over the MSI Wind: better position of Fn/Ctrl keys, multi touchpad, 2.5x more battery life(!!), better casing construction, full size < > keys, near silent fan operation, no ticking harddrive, standard 160GB HD, Bluetooth, clean factory software install. More information:

Update 21nov08: Trying to install MacOSX on the NC10? Use the “Leo4All V4.1.1” image or the earlier mentioned MSIWindosx86.iso (read here about the report). Most hardware options work. However WLAN (Atheros AR424/5007EG), LAN (Marvell 8040 chipset) do not work (yet). Of course you can choose to swap the miniPCIe WLAN card with a DELL 1390,1395,1505 or Apple Airport Extreme. Those are confirmed to work.

Update 25dec08: Touchscreen upgrade spotted @ Ebay

Update 28dec08: Atheros WLAN working, and even better  a new special MacOSX 10.5.6 torrent for the NC10 @ Demonoid, and a lot of other files for for example switching speaker/headphone, installation guide can be found here @ ‘Bike Town’ and it’s support forum topic.
