Flat file PHP forum


Creating a site with forum is easy these days. There are many great forums: phpBB and vBulletin being the well known solutions. But … I wanted something different. For a project with a small community of about 10 users I don’t need a super advanced MySQL/PHP forum, but rather something small. Preferably a flat-file storage PHP forum (meaning no MySQL database prerequisite). And those are hard to find these days …
Most of the flat-file forum solutions date back to 2003-2005, and as a result most links are dead ends. I was able find some though. Here’s the list:

Update 21th of July 2011: while looking for the Dutch language files of MyUPB, I stumbled upon http://www.forummatrix.org – a forum comparison site!
