MSI – Invest in computer harddrives!

By popular request I’m going to separate my generic personal blogposts from the money making blogpost. All money making & trend-spotting blogposts will be prefixed by “MSI” from now on. Where MSI stands for “Multiple Streams of Income”. The first blog post on this item is going to be: computer harddrives!
One of my favorite IT suppliers has raised their 2TB harddrive prices to €115. That’s a serious price increase of about €40-50.

Cause: the floods in Thailand. Western Digital announced just a few days ago they are closing their factories. Meaning? The prices are going to rise.

Want to make money? Buy harddrives in stock for the old €60-70 prices at small subset of suppliers, and sell them with €50 profit per harddrive in a month or so!

Update 30 Oct 2011: It’s nice to be right. Average 2TB harddrive price is €140 at the moment. That’s more than double compared to just 1-2 weeks ago.

Update 5 Nov 2011: average 2TB harddisk price already increased to €175. Would you have bought 100x 2TB harddrives for €6,000 .. which is indeed serious money. You would have now made €11,500 profit. Not revenue … 100% pure profit. Still there are people who want to proof me wrong …
