A few weeks ago I silently posted an update to this blogpost of a software program that enables you to record webcam streams (MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, Yahoo messenger). But in fact it can do a whole lot more! You can record anything on your desktop (including the audio from any source) from a selected area, a window or even fullscreen; therefore it’s incredibly useful for making presentations, YouTube video, even DVD movies.
Although the free downloadable version has some limitations, they aren’t that annoying. I have progressed to the point though, that I need more, so I decided to buy the software … and for it’s pricetag, the value you get is simply tremendous!
Don’t get me wrong. I’m a strong believer of free software, and you probably can achieve the same with a chain of free rograms, but that takes the hassle of configuring, and having indepth knowledge on video & audio formats for conversion, etc. I don’t want that (anymore). So that’s why I bought EatCam Pro for realtime recording and exporting to AVI, WMV (Windows Media Player) or FLV (Flash Video; YouTube for example). The sales process is very easy by the way.
